COMPUTER IS LIKE SECONDARY BRAIN

COMPUTER IS LIKE SECONDARY BRAIN

Now computer became the most important things in human society. We use our brain to solve the problem, we create the world in our own way, but computer colors our the world which we created. Like this way computer became the secondary world of the human life.

The study subjects were put on either a low-calorie balanced diet or a low-carb diet. After a week the mental ability of all the study subjects was tested. Researchers tested attention, long-term and short-term memory, visual attention and spatial memory. 10 women on the low-carb diet performed poorly at the mental tests as compared to women on a low calorie, high-carbohydrate diet.
Holly Taylor said that when carbohydrates were re-introduced the women’s mental function returned to normal.
Taylor added: “This study demonstrates that the food you eat can have an immediate impact on cognitive behaviour. The popular low-carb, no-carb diets have the strongest potential for negative impact on thinking and cognition.”

like this way computer became the part of human life. Our brain functions with diet and computer's brain function by us.

CONCLUSION

Conclusion

Computer is a very essential things in our life.
During the past 10 years, the use of computers in education has increased dramatically and a wide range of educational computer programmes are now widely available for individual and classroom use. However, there has been very little research reported on the effectiveness of such use. The purpose of the present study was therefore to ascertain the effectiveness of using computer-assisted instruction as compared to traditional classroom instruction in an EAP writing class. The findings clearly suggest that the inclusion of web-based materials in EAP writing courses for post-graduate students from East-Asia on an English language preparation course is effective. Further research is needed, however, before the use of such materials can be recommended for all students in all subject areas at all levels. In conclusion, therefore, it can be seen that millions of people continue to be affected by water-related problems and, contrary to popular belief, future water supplies are not inexhaustible. So the situation is very serious, especially in view of the UN estimates of demand. Although projects to provide ever-increasing supplies of water indicate that a growing number of countries are aware of the present problems and of those to come, these more often than not are highly expensive and not very practical - and very time-consuming when time is a commodity in short supply. So, while research in these areas is important, the eventual solution would definitely appear to be worldwide conservation and pollution control - in other words, a greater respect for our most valuable natural resource.
Altogether, it seems that we cannot accept without question the dramatic increase in recorded crime as corresponding to a real increase in victimization of the same proportions. But, however good it would be to explain away all, or even most, of the increase as an artefact of recording changes, this cannot be shown to be the case. We can plausibly infer that crime has been increasing in the last two
to three decades, presenting a problem for explanation and policy. However there is lots of things to do in our life, that would not be possibe by doing ownself. Thats the reason we need computer.

IMPORTANCE OF COMPUTER IN HUMAN SOCIETY

Importance of Computer in human society

The importance of computers cannot be understated. Computers have changed the world and are here to stay. Computers have changed people lives in everything they do. From daily activities to business things have all changed because of computers. Let’s look a little more closely at the importance of computers for business. Many things have changed in business and fro the better. Some things that used to take hours now take minutes to accomplish. Things like email, word processors, and spreadsheets have all changed they way business’s complete tasks. Some jobs have now become so easy that we almost take for granted how they used to get done. Computers can add numbers in a matter of seconds for large amounts of data. This is huge and only shows the importance of computers. Workers can do things such as work from how now because of computers and rganizations can hire employees all over the world and keep tabs on their work. It’s safe to say the rules have all changed because of computers. People who never were able to get out and meet new people can now do so online. Computers have made this easy for these people. With computer dating, people can now find dates online instead of going out to bars to meet new people. Personal finance has also changed. People can now keep an eagle eye on their finances through the use of software such as quicken. This completely shows the importance of computers.

IMPORTANCE OF COMPUTER IN DAY TODAY LIFE

Importance of Computer in day to day life
Information and communication are two of the most important strategic issues for the success of every enterprise. While today nearly every organization uses a substantial number of computers and communication tools (like telephone or fax), they are often still isolated. While managers today are able to use applications like wordprocessors or spreadsheets, not very many of them use computer-based tools to communicate with other departments or information retrieval programs. To overcome these obstacles in an effective usage of information technology, computer networks are necessary. They are a new kind (one might call it paradigm) of organization of computer systems produced by the need to merge computers and communications. At the same time they are the means to converge the two areas; the unnecessary distinction between tools to process and store information and tools to collect and transport information can disappear. Computer networks can manage to put down the barriers between information held on several (not only computer) systems. Only with the help of computer networks can a borderless communication and information environment be built. Computer networks allow the user to access remote programs and remote databases either of the same organization or from other enterprises or public sources. Computer networks provide communic
ation possibilities faster than other facilities. Because of these optimal information and communication possibilities, computer networks may increase the organizational learning rate, which many authors declare as the only fundamental advantage in competition.

CHANGES IN HUMAN LIFE

Changes of human life
Some people say that the invention of computers is one of the greatest humankind's inventions. However, other people think that computers make their life more stressful. I agree with those people who think that computers brought many benefits and play a very important role in our modern life.
First of all, every company nowadays uses a computer to store its data and make different kinds of operations. It is very difficult to imagine life without computers. A company would have to store millions of papers and documents. Moreover, a customer would have to wait hours to check his balance or get a piece of information about his transactions at his bank, while an employee was looking through those papers. Another important aspect of this is that people are able to type all their information, make corrections, print or send documents using computers. It makes life much easier. One can spend the rest of the time watching TV with his family or working on something new.
We use computers every day sometimes even not knowing it. When we go to a store and use our credit cards many computers process our information and perform transactions. When we need to get some cash we use money access machines that are computerized too.
Second of all, computers provided a great means of communication - the Internet. I think it is the easiest and cheapest way to get in touch with relatives, friends, business colleagues, etc. Nowadays the world becomes smaller and smaller. When I was a little boy, I could not imagine that it would be possible to communicate with people from all around the world in so easy way. A person can get latest news, become friends with someone from another country, find his old friends, ask for a piece of advice, etc.

Finally, in addition to these practical benefits people can shopping without leaving their house. They just use an Internet access, a computer and their cards to make a payment. It is kind of difficult to imagine that a few years ago people had to spend their time in lines buying tickets. Now, a person can choose a destination, company, date and time and get tickets delivered to his door. I think it is amazing.
To sum up, I believe that computers made our lives easier. They change our attitude towards life. I think with the invention of computers people became closer and friendlier.

EFFECT OF COMPUTER IN HUMAN LIFE

Effect of Computer in Human life

How Computers Effect Our Usual Life?" Computers are transforming society. Time is collapsing. Distance is no longer an obstacle. Crossing oceans takes only a mouse click".

This is the phrase of sentences I heard somewhere about computers. Virtually, computers which pressure most people's life are considered as the most important technological achievement of the XXI century. Using computers, we can make or solve most of difficult things which are hardly completed without their hands. Because of these different varieties of abilities, computers have been creating many noticeable achievements in most of societies' fields especially medicine, education, and usual life. In other words, these three fields also are computers' influences that I want to write in this essay today.

DISADVANTAGE OF COMPUTER

Disadvantage of Computer
Computer disadvantages are as follows; Violation of Privacy, it is crucial that personal and confidential records stored in computers be protected properly. Impact on Labor Force, although computers have improved productivity and created an entire industry with hundreds of thousands of new jobs, the skills of hundreds of thousands employees are replaced by computers. Health Risks, prolonged or improper computer use can lead to head injuries or disorders.Computer users can protect themselves from health risks through proper workplace design, good posture while at the computer, and appropriately spaced work breaks. HISTORY

History

Computers were initially large machines that could fill entire rooms. Some were operated using large vacuum tubes that formed the basis of today's transistors. In order to operate such machines, punch cards were used. One of the first such examples of this was the Jacquard Loom. In 1833 Charles Babbage invented his difference engine, an early calculator. Together with the punch card design, he created the analytical engine. Regrettably the engine never saw completion due to political issues.Over time computers became more and more powerful, with the introduction of the ubiquitous microprocessor driving forward development. Gordon Moore, one of the co-founders of Intel, invented Moores law, which predicted that the number of transistors that could be placed on an integrated circuit inexpensively doubled every 2 years. This law has held true to a certain degree, and it can be seen in motion every day with the introduction of more and more powerful microprocessors and larger hard drives and memory modules. Here are some computers that came and went in the history of computing. Some modern examples are also shown here.

ENIAC

An image of the ENIAC in useA behemoth of a machine weighing 27 tonnes, ENIAC stood for Electrical Numerical Integrator and Computer. The ENIAC used thousands of vacuum tubes and a punch card mechanism. It was originally used to perform calculations for the hydrogen bomb, and later saw use in calculating artillery firing tables. Working out the programming on paper took weeks, and performing the necessary wiring took days. The ENIAC saw service until October 2, 1955.Altair 8800 A microcomputer design from 1975, the Altair is the computer that is believed to have started the personal computer revolution. It also formed the basis of Microsoft's first product: a programming language called Altair Basic. The computer was sold as a kit requiring assembly by the user, although pre-assembled kits could be bought for a higher price. The Altair defied sales forecasts by selling thousands instead of hundreds to computer hobbyists, accelerating a growing hacker culture.

Commodore 64
Commodore 64C system with 1541-II floppy drive and 1084S RGB monitor. An 8 bit computer introduced in January 1982, the Commodore rose to become the best selling personal computer of all time. Utilising the Commodore BASIC programming language licensed from Microsoft, the Commodore was able to host over 10,000 commercial programs. Aside from office productivity tools such as word processors and spreadsheets, the Commodore was also host to a number of games and even game development environments such as the Shoot'Em-Up Construction Kit.Due to its advanced graphics and audio systems, along with the inclusion of a cartridge slot, the Commodore was seen more as a gaming device than a productivity tool. Over 20,000 games were released for the Commodore, up to the video game crash of 1983. The sheer popularity of the Commodore 64 also saw the rise in prominence of software piracy.Macintosh First introduced by Apple in 1984, the Macintosh was the first computer to use a mouse and graphical user interface (GUI) rather than a command line interface. Until the dominance of the IBM PC, the Macintosh saw use primarily as a desktop publishing tool. However due to the immense cost of porting command line interface programs to the GUI, software development was initially slow.In this computer maintained as the basis level of the computer.

The Macintosh is famous for its 1984 advertisement, which can be viewed here.IBM PC The granddaddy of all current personal computers, the IBM PC was introduced in 1981. It was capable of running 3 different operating systems at launch, the most popular being PC DOS. The IBM PC introduced the concept of the BIOS (Basic Input Output System), which was proprietary at the time, although it now has been reverse-engineered and is considered the de facto standard in firmware interfacing. Because of its success, many manufacturers were encouraged to create clones with the same feature set as the PC, which we use today as our computers.

INTRODUCTION

What is a Computer?
A computer is an electronic device, which executes software programs. It consists of 2 parts-hardware and software . The computer processes input through input devices like mouse and keyboard. The computer displays output through output devices like color monitor and printer. The size of a computer varies considerably from very small to very big. The speed of computers also has a very large range. Computers have become indispensable in today’s world. Millions of people use computers all over the world. A computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a list of instructions.A computer can also be defined as an electronic machine that accepts input (data), processes it and gives out results(information)Computer organization at a glance [edit]A basic computer consists of three major components: CPU (Central Processing Unit), IO (Input/Output), and Memory as illustrated .Data comes through Input and the CPU processes the data based on a program which is in Memory. The result is returned to Memory or is presented to the user.CPU itself consists of Arithmetic and Logic Unit(ALU), Control Unit(CU) and Registers.A Computer-based system A Computer-based system is a system in which a computer is involved and consists of three major elements: Hardware, Software, and User.
Computer is a synonym of the human life. Where we can do our vivid works with the help of computer.
